WarKey++ Yours WarCraft3 Hotkey Helper

Program features:

[DotaKeys]

1.Tutorial

1.1 How to setup Base hotkeys

1. Run Editor from Main Window
2. Type required hotkeys to edits. Only a..z, 0..9 and some special keys (like SPACE,home etc) are allowed.
3. Now press "Save" and "Exit" then wait until DotaKeys load Main Window

Default settings:

q,w,e,r for skills
a,s,d,f for commands ( move, stop... )
2,3,4,5 for items
Z for "toggle life bars"

1.2 How to Activate Dotakeys ( recommended to read )

Before you start using dotakeys, you need Activate them. To do this press "Activate" button on Main Window or press F8 in game ( when DotA begins ). After you press F8 in game, DotaKeys should whisper ( if you play on BNET ) message "Dotakeys: on" to you from yourself. The Message in game looks like this:

If you play on LAN, it write message "/w Dotakeys: on" to all your teammates. It's because Warcraft cant whisper on LAN.

1.3 How to setup Hero

After you set your "base" hotkeys, at start of every game you need to setup hero. There is two ways how to do it:

1. F7 Procedure ( old )
2. Hero Codes ( new )

1.3.1 "F7" Procedure

Note:
This procedure is longer then HeroCode, which is newer and recomended. But if you cant use it, you can use this.

When game begins, you must tell Dotakeys which hero you use. To do it with F7 Procedure you need this:

1. ( if you didnt do this before ) Press F8 To activate DotaKeys
2. Now if you know hotkeys of your Hero, go to number 4, else continue on number 3
3. Press Red Cross, which is for "New skill" and hover mouse over skills. The yellow letters are default hotkeys of skills
4. Now when you know hotkeys of Hero, press F7
5. After you press F7, DotaKeys should whisper message "DotaKeys: Please Type *YOUR* hero shortcuts..." to you
6. Press ORIGINAL HOTKEYS in order from left to right. Ie: if hotkeys are "c,t,d,w", you press F7ctdw
7. DotaKeys should whisper message "DotaKeys: You typed: x,x,x,x", where x,x,x,x are hotkeys you typed

1.3.2 Hero Codes ( recommended to read )

This is other way to setup hero. Now you dont need anything, just write "hero code" into chat. Hero code is basically FIRST 4 letter of hero name. Ie: Vengeful spirit is Class and Shendelzare is Name. So code for Vengeful spirit is "shen". List of heroes & codes is available in chapter 3.[list]
1. Press F8 To activate DotaKeys
2. Press ENTER
3. Write \<hero code>. You can also use \ or + instead of /
4. Now DotaKeys should whisper message "You control HERO [x,x,x,x], where HERO is Class and x,x,x,x is ORIGINAL hotkeys of hero you control

DotA-Allstars.com Visitor,
Some of you may know me; many of you probably won’t these days. This website was born on October 14th, 2004. It was a mere 2 months after I turned 18, and it was the first website I’d ever made. Guinsoo was the lead developer (before Icefrog), DotA had no competitive scene and maybe 5% of the players that it does today.
In the years that followed, the site turned from a small forum with only 30,000 users to a massive community with over a million visitors every month, a million page views every day, and a staff of over 100 volunteers. It’s been incredible discovering the generosity of individuals who selflessly donate their time to create a positive experience for others.
In the summer of 2008, I met Guinsoo in real life for the first time. He and his boss were in town and they wanted to meet up and go out for a steak, (how could I say no!?). I soon learned that they were working on a game based on DotA, free from all of the limitations of the Warcraft III engine and Battle.net. Several months after meeting them and after several trips to their offices to learn more about the project, I joined the Riot Games team working on League of Legends.
When I first joined the team in September of 2008, my original intent was to work on League of Legends full time and continue to build DotA-Allstars.com into an awesome thriving DotA community after Icefrog’s departure.
While I originally intended to leave this out of this letter, in light of the fact that this information is now out in the open, I think it’s important to set the record straight. Many believe that Icefrog left because I wanted to commercialize, and he did not. In reality – I had learned that Icefrog had been secretly working for S2Games after conducting a series of meetings where he was attempting to sell a full DotA game concept to a number of companies (including Riot). The differences of opinion that we had were merely that I chose to be transparent and honest about the project that I was working on, and the direction my career was going.
After working on and launching LoL, I began to realize that – in addition to having no free time anymore – with LoL available to play I no longer possessed the passion for DotA which once drove me.
The traffic on the website slowly began to decline, settling where it’s at now (about 50% of where it was a year ago), and I recently realized that I had a decision to make. I could either continue to say that I would rebuild the website as a strong DotA community, knowing that my heart wasn’t really in it, or I could archive the site, ending an almost 6 year chapter of my life that I’ve invested thousands of hours into. Ultimately I believe that the right decision here is to not trick myself into thinking that this site will be rebuilt into what it once was, and to shift my full focus and time to my new project, with an eye towards the future.
This website and the DotA community will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s been an amazing experience working with so many wonderful people and gaining so much insight about communities, people, and ultimately myself. There are more people deserving of thanks than I could possibly remember – so rather than leaving anyone out, I’ll simply thank everyone who has volunteered or contributed to this site over the last few years, and everyone who helped make it one of the premier DotA websites in the world.
The website will be offline for the next week or so while the database is moved to its new permanent home where its contents will remain archived and available to the public for the sake of historical preservation.
In the meantime, I hope some of you will join me and over 3 million other players for a game of League of Legends (it’s free!)

DotA Theme Manager

What is the DotA
Theme Manager?


The DotA Theme Manager - short: DTM - is a useful tool that allows you
to change the ingame appearance of your Warcraft III.
It is focused on changing the terrain of DotA, so it might look bad
if you play other maps with the DTM activated, but the appearance can
be
restored easily. If you play DotA using the DTM, the terrain looks
differently,
but gameplay-technical nothing changed - only textures are changed.
The advantage of the DotA Theme Manager: Only you see the changes
while you
can still play with other players who do not use the DotA Theme
Manager!
The Gallery shows some screenshots of the terrain changes.


Information
for Leagues and Communities

This information is meant for League- and Community Admins.

Some Leagues and Communities are unsure whether they should accept the
DotA Theme Manager or not.
They fear that the DTM will somehow affect fairness, for example by
making trees easily clickable
or by making enemies standing out due to the contrast with the
terrain.

To that, I can only say:
-Since I only change the tree's textures, they can be clicked equally
well at any time
-I will always keep the program fair - no UI-Hiding, "transparent
trees" or anything comparable
-The idea that a hero stands out due to contrast can hardly be called
gamebreaking.
In my opinion, you can see heroes good enough in any case - it never
happened to me that any hero
suddenly appeared next to me and I just did not see him while he
walked to me visibly.

I promise to you that the only goal of the DotA Theme Manager is to
make DotA visually more attractive
and diversified

What it do::

- Version Switcher 100% made by myself, and much better than wvs and others;
- Link with all versions of war3, compatible with "Warcraft Version Switcher [wvs]";
- Warcraft 3 Registry Fixer (Allow you to do official updates without problem, even if your Warcraft is copied from another pc);
- Allow you to set the resolution that you want, and not the war3 limited one. (IMPROVE GRAPHIC QUALITY IN NEW MONITORS);

How to use:

[Version Switcher]

- If your war3 folder is not automatically detected, select it clicking on "magnifying glass" icon;
- Download the wanted version clicking on "Download more versions" and click in "Where to put version file?" and put the downloaded file in this folder that will open. [ ATTENTION : NOT UNZIP THE FILE, PUT IT IN THE .ZIP TYPE! ];
- Recommended save your actual version first before switching to another, first put your current version in the box "Version" then click in "Save Current Version";
- Now select your wanted version in the list and click in "Switch to selected version" and you are done!";

- So, i not have many things to explain, you only need change what you want and you not need click anywhere to save, it will be saved automatically.

PS: If you change your resolution in program, NOT CHANGE ANY CONFIG INSIDE OF WARCRAFT, OR IT WILL CHANGE YOUR RESOLUTION BACK TO WAR3 DEFAULT ONE...

Implementation of Warcraft 1.24e in Garena PH Rooms

Hello fellow gamers!

The PH Garena staff would like to inform you that to keep the DotA gaming experience better for our beloved Garena PH Members and to keep up-to-date with the international standards, we will be implementing the Warcraft 1.24e version in the major Garena Philippines rooms although some rooms will stay/also be implemented Warcraft 1.24d

We strongly advise that all of you must stay updated with the Warcraft versions because we may never know when new patches are gonna come up (which means new implementations again).

Download links can be found below, both for Warcraft Version Switchers and Official Patches. If you want to switch versions easier, it's commendable that you must download the Warcraft Version Switchers instead of the Official Patches.

Do note that you will need the latest versions to play in the future once the implementation is applied.

This thread is for announcement purposes only, questions regarding implemented rooms will be ignored because it is still being discussed by the higher admins.

About the 1.24e:

1.24e Patch Changelog

- Fixed an exploit rendering buildings non-interactable ("tower hack").
- Fixed an exploit allowing a player to bypass a summon ability's
cooldown ("summon/cooldown hack").
- Fixed a client crash related to workers failing to build in an
unintended way ("new crash hack").
- Fixed an exploit allowing the Blood Mages's Phoenix to be resurrected
instantly ("phoenix hack").
- Fixed a bug allowing players to select an invalid matchmaking race
resulting in all the player's units and buildings becoming sheep
("sheep hack").
